Carriage House Quilts began in 2005 in a converted Carriage House in Naples, NY, as a dream come true for Carolyn Tilburg. She has been an avid sewer since a child and has recently become a quilter and wanted a place to go and meet with friends. Since she could not find one in the area, she started her own.

Convincing Jim to help in the redesign of the Carriage House they began the renovation after purchasing the carriage house in 2004. There was much to do converting an empty space into a warm, cozy quilt shop. Jim built the display cases and put in a wood floor. He is still working on the kitchen and more, more bolt racks. There is never enough room.
